Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Our commitment to child safety
Aboutfam is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone who uses our platform, particularly children and young people. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation and are committed to preventing our services from being used to create, upload, share, distribute, promote, solicit, or facilitate harmful or illegal content involving children.
Aboutfam does not permit any content or activity that sexually exploits, abuses, endangers, or sexualizes children. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), attempts to obtain or distribute such material, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, sexual exploitation, trafficking, sextortion, or any other activity that places a child at risk.
These standards apply across Aboutfam, including user profiles, photos, videos, audio, comments, messages, family-related features, and any other user-generated content or communication available through the platform.
Child sexual abuse material
The creation, possession, upload, sharing, distribution, promotion, or solicitation of child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited on Aboutfam. Content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child is not permitted, regardless of whether it is shared publicly or privately.
When we become aware of content that violates these standards, we may remove the content, restrict or terminate the associated account, preserve relevant information where required by law, and take other appropriate safety measures.
Grooming and exploitation
Aboutfam prohibits using the platform to groom, manipulate, threaten, exploit, or sexually solicit a child. Users must not attempt to establish inappropriate sexual contact with minors, request sexual content from them, encourage harmful sexual behavior, or use Aboutfam to facilitate child exploitation.
Reporting child safety concerns
Aboutfam encourages users to report content, accounts, messages, or behavior that may involve child abuse, exploitation, grooming, or other threats to a child's safety.
Reports can be submitted using the reporting features available within Aboutfam or by emailing our designated child-safety contact at saravananlatchumanan@aboutfam.com. We review child-safety reports and take appropriate action based on the nature and severity of the reported issue.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate child-protection authority.
Enforcement
Accounts and content that violate these Child Safety Standards may be removed or restricted. Depending on the circumstances, Aboutfam may suspend or permanently terminate accounts involved in child sexual abuse or exploitation.
Where required by applicable law, we may preserve and report relevant information to appropriate law-enforcement authorities, child-protection organizations, or other legally designated authorities.
Protecting children and young people
We continually work to improve the safety of Aboutfam through appropriate platform controls, reporting mechanisms, content policies, account protections, and enforcement practices. We may update our safety measures as our platform develops and as legal and regulatory requirements change.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to help younger users understand online safety, privacy, appropriate communication, and the importance of reporting suspicious or harmful behavior.
Cooperation with authorities
Aboutfam complies with applicable laws concerning child sexual abuse and exploitation. When legally required, we cooperate with appropriate regional, national, or international authorities and respond to valid legal requests relating to child safety.
